Immortal Guard Code of Conduct
The Immortal Guard Code of Conduct / Guild Rules are here to help organise the guild, and to protect each member's gaming experience.
By accepting membership in the Immortal Guard you automatically agree to abide by the Code of Conduct and all Guild Rules, failing to do so may result in your removal from the guild.
Requirements of Membership
Each member, to keep active their membership must do the following:
- Have a working headset + microphone. (vitally important for guild communication)
- Have ventrilo installed and setup
- Follow the directions of Guild Leaders or Officers at all times.
- Check the forums "AT LEAST" once every 7 days. Members are encouraged to at least check the forums for important announcements or events sections daily if possible. Check it while you eat breakfast if that works.
- Must not be a member of another guild in the game you're playing as an Immortal Guard member. We understand that you may play other games with other guilds, and that is fine, but if you apply for and are accepted into Immortal Guard for a particular game, we do not tolerate people having alts or second accounts with another guild in that same game.
- Must be logged onto ventrilo if you're in game
- If a Leader is speaking on vent, must stop speaking and wait till they are finished (makes it much easier for leaders to give quick vital information)
- Must have your ingame character signed up to the ingame Guild.
- Must let Guild Leaders know if you are going to be absent from the forums or game for two weeks or more.
Things you may be disciplined for:
- Harassment / Abuse of another member. This will not be tolerated.
- Deliberately interfering with another member's gaming experience.
- Bringing the guilds name into disrepute by words or action.
- Within reason, playing while not logged into vent (we have solo channels if you want some peace and quiet)
- Not checking the forums for more than 7 days, players who fail to check the forums in 14 days will be considered INACTIVE.
If you are going away or unable to play, a simple message to any leader will take a few seconds and make everyone's life much easier, leaders won't have to worry about your absence or finding a replacement, you dont have to worry about being considered Inactive or dropped.
We are not a nazi guild
Our Leaders do not look forward to disciplining anyone, and we will not do so for stupid reasons, we're not running a military camp here.
However we hate drama. Our role is to create a strong community here so that everyone's gameplay experience is as good as possible.
Consequences:
Most punishments are warnings, we realise slip ups happen, or people occasionally get carried away. If you are warned by a Leader and you fail to heed the warning you will be suspended. If you do listen to the Leader then no further action will ever be taken, we are just looking to protect other members and the guild as a whole.
Suspensions: This can only be issued by an Officer or a Leader. If you are suspened then you are immediately prohibited from speaking in vent, or in guild chat, or conversing with any member of the guild.
As soon as possible the Leaders will organise to have a quick meeting with you and discuss why you were suspended. After that meeting you will either have the suspension lifted, or be removed from guild. Once again, we are just looking to preserve the community here. Suspensions will be for actions such as directly hurling abuse at other members, or deliberately causing problems and ignoring warnings for it.
These kind of rules and pushishments are not something we look forward to. We dont expect any trouble, but there is always the occasional incident. This Code of Conduct and these Guild Rules are here to protect you, and the guild as a whole, so that we can offer you the best gaming experience possible.
